Welcome

The Complimentary Investor Pass is reserved for active investors attending Africa Startup Festival to discover and meet exceptional African founders through Investor Hours.

This isn’t a general admission pass. It’s a curated investor experience built around meaningful founder meetings.

By submitting your application, you’re confirming that you’ve read, understood and agreed to the terms below.

Purpose

The Complimentary Investor Pass is offered to a limited number of active investors participating in Investor Hours.

Rather than paying for access, approved investors commit to reviewing founder matches, attending scheduled meetings and providing post-event feedback.

Eligibility

To apply you must:

• Be an active angel investor, venture capitalist, family office, corporate investor or investment fund.
• Be actively deploying capital.
• Be able to verify your investor status through your LinkedIn profile, fund website, portfolio or professional reference.
• Attend Africa Startup Festival in your personal capacity.

The Complimentary Investor Pass is non-transferable and may not be sold, shared or transferred.

Africa Startup Festival reserves the right to reject or revoke any application where eligibility cannot be verified.

Your Commitment

• Attend Investor Hours with genuine intent to discover founders.
• Review your founder matches.
• Confirm your meetings before the deadline.
• Download and use the ASF App.
• Attend your scheduled meetings.
• Submit feedback within five days after the event.
• Respect the confidentiality of information shared by founders.
• Follow the Africa Startup Festival Code of Conduct.

What You’ll Receive

• Complimentary access to Africa Startup Festival.
• Two to three curated Investor Hours meetings.
• Exhibition access.
• ASF App access for confirmed meetings.

Timeline

• Five days before the event: Founder matches are shared.
• Two days before the event: Meeting confirmations close.
• Event day: Attend your confirmed Investor Hours meetings.
• Within five days after the event: Submit meeting feedback.

Feedback

Feedback is required for every Investor Hours meeting. It helps founders understand next steps and helps Africa Startup Festival improve future matching.

Application Review

Applications are reviewed individually. Approval is not automatic. Successful applicants will receive confirmation by email. Applicants who are not approved are welcome to purchase a standard Investor Pass.

Data Use

Application information is used to verify investor eligibility, curate founder matches and improve future Investor Hours.

Meeting feedback may be shared with founders and used in aggregate to improve future programmes.

Pass Revocation

Africa Startup Festival may revoke a Complimentary Investor Pass if:

• Investor status cannot be verified.
• False information is provided.
• Meetings are repeatedly missed.
• Confidential founder information is shared without permission.
• The pass is transferred or shared.
• Required feedback is not submitted.

Acceptance

By submitting your application, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements, the information you’ve provided is accurate, and you agree to participate in Investor Hours as described above.

You also understand that approval is subject to review by the Africa Startup Festival team and that failure to meet these commitments may result in revocation of the pass.
